Scouts and scouters,

I first want to thank you for signing up for our online data base it makes communication between the Chapter and your troops much faster than ever before!
Secondly, I want to remind you that the OA service project will be held this Saturday, May 10th. It will be at the low ropes course at Beaumont Scout Ranch. Participants are asked to bring wheel barrows or garden carts, shovels, pitch forks and heavy garden rakes (not the plastic leave rakes) and gloves if preferred. In addition there will be no water at the work site so scouts should bring plenty with them. Participants should be at the McMillan campsite parking lot by 8:30. Cherie McCurdy will be unable to attend. Mr. Paul Leicht will be the advisor for this event.
Finally I want to remind you of the Chapter Meeting on May 14th at Jay Henges Shooting Range, just up the road from Beaumont. The meeting will begin at 7:00 in the education center on top of the hill. After the meeting we will move to the shooting range and scouts will have a chance to fire 22’s at no cost. Scouts do not need any release forms to shoot.  The meeting will take place rain or shine or snow or heat (It’s St. Louis, don’t like the weather? wait five minutes) If you have any questions feel free to contact myself or any of the officers.

A Call for Arrowmen

Gentlemen, I've found myself in need of help. Gravois Trail is a strong chapter with strong members and what makes us so strong is our cheerful service. The chapter officers don't run the chapter by themselves, they have chairmen. I need chairmen. If you are a chairman or would like to be a chairman please contact me at 636-349-3259 or at gravoistrail@shawneelodge.org. We need Arrowmen for Camp Promotion, Ordeal, Brotherhood, Service, Program, and Banquet. Please let me know if you are interested.

Fall Reunion Report
September 7-9 @ S-F Scout Ranch
The fall reunion this year was a bit wet... ok maybe more than a bit but we all had a good time anyway.  The officers and chairmen did an excellent job working around the weather to make sure that the weekend's programs went on and that there were more things going on in dry locations.  Those of you working out in the rain did amazing jobs making sure that everything got done.  Ceremonies happened as usual and overall the weekend was a test and a testament to everyone there, and in that a complete success.  A gigantic thanks to last years officers, Chief Ethan Armstrong, 1st Vice Tom Schaefer, 2nd Vice Matt Hegel, and Secretary Doug Ebert.  They have done an excellent job.  This years officers were elected on Saturday and (drumroll please)  returning as Secretary is Doug Ebert, as 2nd Vice is Sean Chambliss, returning as 1st Vice is Tom Schaefer, and returning from 05-06 is Chapter Chief Malachi Rein.  Thank everyone for all of your help to put on this weekend as a success.  If you have suggestions or comments feel free to e-mail them to gravoistrail@shawneelodge.org
