A Message From Your Chief

My Brothers,

The year seems to be going by so quickly. We are already closing in on our annual February Fellowship Banquet. The chapter banquet coming up on February 12, 2008 will be an awesome time for everyone with great food, the unveiling of our new chapter neckerchief, tons of attendance prizes, an amazing performance by magician Jeff Lefton, and the presentation of the new Jack J. Sophir, Arrowman of the Year Award recipients. I hope to see all of you there sharing in what promises to be a night to remember. If you have any questions or comments in regards to the banquet or anything else don’t hesitate to contact me by simply clicking on my name below.

Yours in Brotherhood,
David Gentle

February Fellowship Banquet

Our annual chapter banquet is coming up on, February 12, at 6:30pm, at Clayton High School in the commons. There will be tons of food, fellowship, and fun as we celebrate another great year in our chapter. The banquet will feature an informative business meeting and a presentation from locally renowned magician Jeff Lefton. The evening will conclude with the annual presentation of the Jack J. Sophir Arrowman of the Year Awards. You won't want to miss this one, it's our biggest event of the year! For more information and a map click here.

Service Project

We have our second service project of the year coming up soon. On March 8, 2008 we will be helping remove honey suckle from the preschool at Clayton High School. This is an important project because the high school has gaciously allowed us to use their facilities for many years to hold chapter meetings and now we are trying to repay them with this service project for all of their support. The project will begin at 1:00pm and go until 3:00pm. We had over 60 people help out during the two days of the popcorn service project. Let's keep up the great work and show our dedication to the orders foundation, service.

Pathfinder Website
Pathfinderoa.org

If you haven't already, please visit the Pathfinder Chapter website. There you can find the most up-to-date information on all upcoming events within the chapter as well as information on individual programs including Troop Rep, Elangomat, Camp Promotion, Ritual Teams, etc.

Ritual Teams

Unfortunately many members of the chapter are getting too old and can no longer participate on ritual teams. That's where you come in; we need some new arrowmen to get involved with ritual teams. Ritual teams are fun, and play a huge part in the success of the chapter as they serve as the first real hook to get new arrowmen excited about the OA. Our ritual team meetings take place on a monthly basis: every first Sunday of the month, and they always start at 6:30 p.m. The meetings last for about an hour. Meetings always take place at New Horizons Presbyterian Church at 9424 Everman Ave. in Overland, 63114. Check out the ritual team page at the Pathfinder website for more information and when the next meeting will be.
