  • Advertise to future members
  • Double your attendance at chapter meetings
  • Increase interest in service, Elangomat, camp promotion, ceremonial teams, etc.
  • Ultimately increase brotherhood conversion

Obstacles of the Troop Rep Program

  • Program created for a perfect world
  • Hostile scoutmasters unwilling to attain a Troop Rep in their troop
  • Troop Reps who wear the patch but don’t do the job

Overcoming the Obstacles
  • Obtain a competent and dedicated Chapter Troop Rep Chairmen
  • Create a roster with all current Troop Reps and leave a blank for troops without a rep
  • Contact Scout Masters/ Senior Patrol Leaders to fill those blanks
  • Make first contact with Troop Rep meaningful and inform him of his importance

The Process

  • Create a Troop Rep committee
  • Call Troop Reps on a consistent basis
  • Send frequent emails to all Troop Reps
  • Provide Recognition for being a Troop Rep
