Spring Conclave 2008

The next Spring Conclave will be held at Beaumont Scout Reservation on April 18-20. The Spring Conclave is a great opportunity to seal your membership in the Order by obtaining Brotherhood.  The fee for Brothers for the Spring Conclave is $12 and includes the Spring Conclave patch, ice cream social and the Saturday evening dinner. After April 4, the fee increases to $15. Without the Saturday evening dinner, the fees are $8 and $11 after April 4.  More information and a schedule will be posted as time gets closer to the conclave.

Summer Camp Program Preview Meeting

Make plans to attend the Summer Camp Program Preview Meeting for S bar F Scout Ranch and Camp Lewallen on April 21 beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the Dining and Education Facility at Beaumont Scout Reservation. The meeting will be held in conjunction with the Spring Conclave. Senior Patrol Leaders and Scoutmasters will have a chance to meet the camp directors as well as pick up camp related forms – maps, rosters, medical forms, older Scout programs, etc. Information on new summer camp programs and activities will be reviewed at the program preview meeting.

Spring Conclave “Open House”

For the past several years during the Spring Conclave, the Shawnee Lodge hosts an “open house” around the trading post or in the dining hall. This includes many different presentations regarding different events and other activities happening around the lodge, council, section, and the national O.A. This year, it will happen again, but with some new additions! The lodge has asked several of the St. Louis area’s Outdoor Adventure Outfitters to make a presentation, including stores such as Cabellas, REI, and others. The event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday near the trading post or Dining Hall and Educational Facility. Plan your day so you have the chance to stop by and see what there is to learn!

Continued Elangomat Program

The last Spring Conclave was the launch of the new Extended Elangomat Program.  This Spring Conclave will be the completion of the new program.  To learn more about being an Elangomat and the New Extended Elangomat Program, click here.

Brotherhood Honor

Looking to seal your membership in the Order of the Arrow and earn the Brotherhood Honor?  Then you should check out the Brotherhood Information page.  The Brotherhood fee for the Spring Conclave is $15.00.

Accommodations Made For Conclave Schedule Conflict

The Greater St. Louis Area Council goes to great lengths in planning and approving the scheduling of annual events. Numerous district and council committees review the Council's calendar each year in an attempt to prevent conflicts with religious and civic holidays. The council and the Shawnee Lodge of the Order of the Arrow regret an error that scheduled the Shawnee Lodge Spring Conclave on the start of Passover, which begins at sundown on April 19. Special accommodations will be made during the Spring Conclave for any Scout or leader who wishes to complete Ordeal or Brotherhood Honors before sundown on April 19. All Scouts or leaders who choose this option should contact Shawnee Lodge Adviser Pat Martchink, Director of Camping, at (314) 361-0600 or by email before April 11. Any Scout or leader unable to attend the Shawnee Lodge Spring Conclave due to Passover should contact Pat Martchink by April 11 so that arrangements can be made for the 2008 Fall Reunion on September 5-7.
